Brandon is a 2007 graduate of Ohio University and began working as a trainer shortly after. During college he developed a passion for strength and conditioning through competing in the sport of boxing. Following graduation Brandon discovered CrossFit, and hasn’t looked back! Brandon continues to work hard at becoming the best coach, motivator, and athlete he can be!

Dan has been hooked on CrossFit since his first workout back in early 2009. Since then he has used CrossFit training as his off and on season strength and condition protocol to help improve his soccer play at Muskingum. In the summer of 2011 Dan took part as an intern employee/coach at Rogue Fitness CrossFit Gahanna under the instruction of Brandon and Graham. The following year after graduation he became part of the family and staff of CrossFit Grandview.

Arlie was peer pressured into doing his first CrossFit workout by a friend when he worked at the YMCA in his hometown. He was going to community college at the time and hadn’t played competitive sports since graduating high school. Although he can’t remember the workout, he remembers being incredibly humbled following the workout. That first workout flipped his idea of training on his head and ultimately sent him in a different direction for his education. In the following months, he switched majors from business to Exercise Science and Nutrition. In 2017 Arlington completed an extensive year long internship program with us at CrossFit Grandview as well as his undergraduate degree at The Ohio State University.

About Coach David Ulmer
After graduating from Bucknell University, where he played football all four years as a defensive linebacker, Dave discovered CrossFit and found it was perfect for him personally as a former collegiate athlete still wanting to train intensely and have goals. Initially following mainsite WODS for a few years, Dave moved to Columbus in 2008 and eventually started competitively training at Rogue Gahanna in 2009. After several years of CrossFit competition and coaching at a few gyms in Columbus, Dave and his wife, Chelsea, opened CrossFit IPA in 2016. Now, after almost 10 years coaching and even longer as a diehard fitness and exercise fan, Dave still loves to teach people all he has learned from his own personal experiences and from coaching hundreds of individuals over the years. Dave combines this lengthy experience and a wealth of knowledge with his passion for art and creativity to produce exercise that is broad, challenging, effective and fun.
